Bright!

Coral: O.P.I.'s My Chihuahua Bites
Turquoise: Essie's Turquoise and Caicos

Hello Lovelies!

I'm about to head to the airport to catch my flight to Arizona, but first I wanted to show you my nails from this last weekend! Every spring, I fall back in love with coral and turquoise. Actually, I think I'm always in love with these colors! I own so many clothes in both of these colors and I especially love when the two are combined. There is just something about the brightness of the colors that makes me so excited for summer and warm weather! I thought it was fitting to post these warm-weather nails before I go to a really hot place!

My mom and I got pedicures and manicures last night in preparation of the trip. I'm sooooo excited!!!! I'll keep you updated!

Girl's Night Out

On Saturday, my friends took me out to dinner to celebrate my recovery from surgery! We dressed up in pretty dresses and heels and went out for Italian food. The evening was really warm so we sat out on the patio! I ordered a chicken cannelloni and it was delicious. I also ordered a blueberry Italian soda-something new that I instantly loved! After dinner, we frolicked around town and tried a new cupcake store nearby. I bought a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting and let me tell you- it was SO good. I'll definitely be back there soon!

Of course, I also had to include a picture of my toes, along with my friend Lizzie's feet. My toes are the orange ones :) It looks like one person wearing two different shoes! I absolutely love my two best friends-they have been so supportive throughout my whole surgery and visited many times during my recovery to bring me movies, milkshakes, and just to say hi. I can't wait for summer, when we will have even more fun times! Love you Sums and Lizzie! :)

Animal Print- Maria

I always love seeing other people's nail art and my friend Maria is no exception! We talk about nails all the time and she is always trying something new. This girl is so talented-she did all of the animal prints with a tooth pick! I can only dream of having a hand that steady.
THANKS MARIA!

On a another note, I leave for Arizona in two days! I'm so excited to be back in the hot weather-even if that means 100 degree dry heat. Oh well. I still can't decide how I'm going to do my nails. All I know is that I'm craving bright summery colors like coral, turquoise, and neon yellow. Hmm, how about all three?

Have a lovely Tuesday!

p.s. Feel free to email me pictures of your nails (art-adorned or otherwise) and I will feature them on the blog!

Aztec Art

So, you may be wondering what I could possibly be doing with this interesting tool.

Or with these bright summery colors.
From left: nail stripe polish, Sally Hansen in Pacific Blue and Twisted Pink, and China Glaze in Four Leaf Clover.

Tada! Aztec nail art! Before I started, I wasn't quite sure what I was going to do. I just went with it. I knew the colors I wanted to incorporate and I knew I wanted to create some kind of tribal theme-so this is the result! Both hands took about 45 minutes: I painted all of my nails pink, then drew 3 black lines. I filled in the top (cuticle area) with the green, then drew the stripes with the stripe brush. After that, I painted polka dots with the handy tool you saw above! That's all there is to it! I didn't clean up around the edges of my nails until after I took the pictures...I was just too excited to share them with y'all!

On a non-nail related note, a week from tomorrow I leave for Arizona! My cousin is graduating and my family and I are going down to join the celebrations. I'm looking forward to lying by the pool and enjoying the sunshine. There will be some serious family shenanigans going down! Just wait :)

The Hunger Games: Part 1

Hello!
I know it's been quite a wait, but I'm finally posting the first batch of The Hunger Games nail polishes!

Harvest Moon: The color is a orange/reddish bronze. This polish appears darker or lighter depending on the light. This would be an amazing color to wear in the fall.

Riveting: This polish is a bright pumpkin-y orange with glitter. I absolutely love this color and I will be wearing this through the fall! Funny story: last October, I was searching everywhere for a color like this to match a purse I own. The problem was that no store had this color! And now, in the Spring, I finally find my fall polish. I think it's funny how that worked out. :)

Agro: This polish is a deep evergreen color and I love it! Once again, it's probably more of a fall/winter color but I love the slight shimmer that it has when the sun is reflects off my nails.

All three of these polishes lasted almost 2 weeks without any chipping and the application of them all was pretty smooth and easy. Two coats is plenty. Of course, top coats always help. :) Either way, these three are definitely keepers! Keep your eyes out for part 2! Should be coming soon!

On another note- Happy Tuesday! After school, I went to Starbucks with my  mom. It was so nice to just sit outside and enjoy the sun and each other's company. I'm already looking forward to the weekend...I have some fun things planned!

Anyone else already have plans? How did you spend your Tuesday? Feel free to comment or email me with questions, requests, or just to say hi! I love hearing from you!

Lunch with Mom :)

Why hello there! I just wanted to take a minute to share with you all what I ordered for lunch today. There really is nothing better than a Monte Cristo sandwich on a sunny day. Yummy!

It's going to be a pretty crazy week but the good news is that the weekend is only 4 more days away! Happy Monday!

I'm Back...With Food and Nail Polish!

Hola! I had jaw surgery last month so I've been recovering for the past few weeks. The good news is that I'm feeling awesome and I am almost completely recovered! That means I'm back to posting yummy foods (no more smoothies!!) and awesome nail polishes just in time for summer! So here you go: the most recent nail color and teriyaki food!

I absolutely love this color! It's so bright and summery...and of course, you know I love Sally Hansen! This is the color I wore when I went to Disneyland before my surgery last month. It was hot and sunny there so I had to reflect that in my nails. I went to Disneyland with my band for a long weekend and it was so much fun! I wish we could have stayed longer, but now I have an excuse to go back! But really, who needs an excuse to go Disneyland???

Once I got the approval from my surgeon, I bought teriyaki food right away. During the first few weeks of my recovery, I had so many dreams about food (some were more frequent, like KFC biscuits and Costco orange chicken!) and now that I can eat normal foods, I've been working my way down the list.

YUM! I'm getting hungry just looking at these pictures again!
I hope you all had a fantastic Mother's Day today!

More to come!
