Happy Groundhog Day!

Hello everyone! Sorry I've disappeared for the past few weeks!!! I promise my posts will be more regular now. For the past two weeks, I have been overwhelmed with tests, projects, presentations, and various homework assignments as well as sports (I run cross country and track). It's been so crazy!!
But as of yesterday, I am officially done with first semester!

To celebrate the beginning of the new semester as well as Groundhog Day, (has anyone seen the picture of the groundhog on Bing? So cute!) I thought I'd post the pictures of what my nails looked like during my crazy schedule. I took the pictures about a week after I first painted them, so there is a little bit of grow-out but other than that, I have no complaints! The polish lasted for more than a week with absolutely no chipping. I love it!

I had a lot of fun with this manicure. :) It was quite snowy here for a few days and the freezing temperatures made me long for hot, sunny days. Right now, I really just want to travel to someplace tropical and warm where I can relax on a beach ALL day.

To get the tropical look, I painted all of my nails (except my ring finger) a bright coral pink. The color is "E-nuf is E-nuf" by Essie. I love Essie polishes because of the thickness of the formula and the amount of pigment in each brushstroke. The only thing that bothers me just a little is the size of the brush. It's really skinny, which results in more brushstrokes. But the pros outweight the cons, and this nail polish is a personal favorite of mine. The neon orange is by China Glaze and the name is "Knockout". This color is even brighter in real life than in the picture online. I was a little surprised when I first tried it because it turned out to be matte, which resulted in a pigment that wasn't quite as bright as I thought it would be. Just add a top coat, though, and your problem is solved!

To add a little more sparkle, I added a sparkly top coat by Sally Hansen. I believe the color is "Strobe Light". I love sparkles because they can instantly change the look of any manicure. I love Sally Hansen nail polishes, and this topcoat doesn't disappoint.

Enjoy the rest of your week! Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! I can definitely use a break! :)
